I have always been drawn to the way a space can change how we feel. A room can welcome us in, help us slow down, bring people together, or make everyday life a little easier.

My work creating thoughtful spaces began in 2000, when I founded Van Wert Interiors. For the next seven years, I helped clients create spaces that felt beautiful, personal, and comfortable to live in. In 2007, family health challenges led me to shift my focus toward health and well-being—a chapter that continues to shape my approach to design today.

My experience also includes more than a decade in real estate, where I learned to look beyond a home’s first impression and listen closely to how people want to live. Vibrant Living 101 brings these experiences together, combining my longstanding love of interiors with a perspective shaped by health and real estate.

I pay attention to how a room flows, how it feels at different times of day, and which materials and details make it comfortable to live in. I especially love natural textures and spaces that feel calm, warm, and personal.

I am continuing my studies in Healthy Building Design through the Building Biology Institute. As I deepen that knowledge, my purpose remains simple: to create thoughtful spaces that feel beautiful, function well, and support the life happening within them.
